"The Black Box" is a love story set during the COVID-19 crisis between Thibaut, a Frenchman, and Sai, a Chinese girl. Despite harsh quarantine restrictions, they decide to meet. Sai describes herself as a black box, the memory of their moments together that never happened. They both have a fetishism for planes and airports, with Thibaut collecting X-ray photos of his suitcase and Sai fascinated by black boxes.
